Steve is an experienced litigator representing clients in a broad array of practice areas. Steve's litigation practice involves representation of businesses of all sizes, from large institutional clients, private equity funds, and developers, to family owned small businesses and start-ups in all aspects of litigation including partnership disputes, contract matters, and trade secret and employment litigation. As an experienced commercial litigator, Steve excels in counseling his clients on the most efficient and cost-effective solutions, while providing high level advocacy for complex issue.

Steve has also become one of the leading attorneys in the area in for the representation real estate professionals, acting as outside counsel for two of the largest real estate brokerages in the tri-county area. In this capacity, Steve routinely advises real estate professionals on day-to-day issues that arise in their practices, represents professional in real estate related litigation, and defends real estate professionals from administrative and licensing complaints.


In addition to his litigation practice, a significant part of Steve's practice involves serving as an outside general counsel to his clients, providing strategic business counsel focused on achieving the clients' objectives and promoting their interests. As general counsel, Steve advises his entrepreneurial and business-oriented clients on new business development, financing, organizational restructuring, acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, employment issues and everyday business affairs both in and outside of South Carolina.
